Location

Hode stands approx. 1.3 km from Borga (Former German radar station during World War II ) on Eggum.

Directions

Follow E10 north from Leknes. After about 14 km (16 min) turn left onto road 994 to Eggum. Drive through Eggum, and further out to the parking lot at Borga (Kvalhausen).

Description of the attraction

The sculpture "Hode" is part of the project Skulpturlandskap Nordland.

Difficulty and time use

Very easy. It is approx. 1300 meters along a dirt road that follows the beach, from the parking lot to where the head stands. Hode has the ice up, or down, depending on where you stand and look at it.

It is a little fascinating to walk around the sculpture and see that, from the right path, "suddenly" is on its head. It turns a little in your head as well then.
