At Oterhaugen, not far from Mårsund (Regine Normann's birthplace).
Follow road 820 north from Sortland center towards Mårsund at Bø. At the T-junction in Rise, follow road 820 to the left. After about 1.1 km, turn left onto Veggemoveien. Follow Veggemoveien for about 3.7 km. Turn right at the T-junction, and follow Veggemoveien for approx. 1.7 km. Turn left onto Veaveien. Follow Veaveien for about 4.3 km. Drive straight ahead onto Bøveien, and follow this approx. 7.2 km. Drive down at the viewpoint, with the information board (Regine Normann) on the left side of the road. Follow the road down to the mound and park there. The cottage is located on the sea side of the mound. It is about 65 km from the roundabout at the bridge on Sortland to the exit at Mårsund.
Here you can experience many highlights! In summer you can enjoy late bright summer evenings, and a great sea view. In the autumn you can experience a "nice" autumn storm with waves hitting the rocks under the cabin. And in winter you can experience both a storm and the northern lights. Admittedly not at the same time.
There is plenty of room for a relatively large group of people. So here it is nice to collect e.g. family or friends, and have a pleasant social gathering.
